23 Things
I've made it! This was fun and I'm glad to have had this opportunity to learn all of these neat things -- AND - on company time! Anyway, I'm not sure how many of these new sites I will visit/use but I'm glad I had the chance to learn about them. I especially enjoyed reading everyone's blog and enjoyed the creativity of staff members. Happy blogging!
#22 Almost Done
#22 - Explored Project Gutenberg and Net Library. Not sure I will spend a lot of time there. New to me is that you can download audio books/videos to my PC. This I will try in the future. However, I don't think I want to sit in front of my PC to watch a movie and I prefer to have a book in my hand rather than read from a PC screen.

Podcasts
I felt the podcasts were very helpful with explaining the different subjects in "23 Things." Some were very creative and fun to watch.

Exploring Web 2.0 Awards
Thing 19 - explore the Web 2.0 awards - this was fun to explore the different sites. Some of my favorites were Goowy, Be Green Now, and Pandora. All worth visiting. Also, I may visit Real Travel again since I am planning a trip to Florida in September and want to visit some new places in Central FL.

Web Applications
I love these web based applications! These applications make sharing documents so much easier because you don't need to be concerned about the version of the application. The docs and spreadsheets are new to me but I have been using the Google calendar. It is a great tool that makes my job easier. I'm hoping more staff will start using the Google calendar. So I'm writing this on the Google Docs web-based application and I believe I can send it to my blog........hmmm, let's see.
Quicksand Sandbox
Well, I'm not that impressed with the Sandbox Wiki and it is not user-friendly. However, I was able to link my blog to the sandbox wiki after some help from Kevin.

Being new to the Library environment, reading about Library 2.0 is all new and interesting to me. Lots to learn.

Smile - You're on the Internet
Has anyone tried Smilebox? I created a scrapbook and a postcard (with music and all of the embellishments) this weekend but I think I can only send it to my blog from my home pc where the pictures reside. This is a pretty cool site and fun to use, however, it can never replace the old-fashion scrapbook that gets handed down to the next generation.
Really Simple!
I am back tracking some - forgot to "blog" about RSS. Actually, I liked Bloglines and set up about 7 feeds to start, local news, weather channel, Information Wants to be Free...

Exploring Technorati
Well.... Technorati was fun to explore. I tried to find my daughter's 'My Space blog' but I'm sure it is just as well that I did not find it.

Sketching
I really like the sketch generator. I can't seem to figure out how to get a copy of the sketch to my blog. Does anyone know how to do this?

Great Blue Heron at Dawn
Since I enjoy photography and scrapbooking, exploring Flickr was fun. I use Snapfish or Shutterfly to share photos with family and friends but will now also give Flickr a try.

7-1/2 Habits
The 7-1/2 habits of successful lifelong learners is interesting. I believe the most difficult for me would be #7-1/2 - Play. I'm too busy "doing" all day, going from task to task at work or home and don't take the time to stop and play. This a good habit to develop. The easiest habit would probably be #1, "Begin with the end in mind."
